The US Government Is Seizing Domains?

Apparently, the US Government has seized more than 70 domains, because they have something to do with counterfeiting goods and online piracy. This came directly from Homeland Security Investigations (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Here’s an example of a seized domain. One of the worst things about this is that any domain can be snatched up without notice whatsoever. In fact, the go through ICANN, and not public domain reigstars like GoDaddy. This just goes to show that no one is safe. The Government has the power to do what they will – even online, where people are supposed to be ‘free’.

The One Lesson My Mother Has Ever Taught Me About Web Design

Back in the day, I was experimenting with my style, still finding myself design wise. I was rockin’ that ’10px really tiny text’ look. This phase lasted for a while. After all, it was my site and my visitors were around my age, therefore they could read tiny text! Not to mention, that’s what was ‘in’ way back when. Well, every single time I would show my mom a new layout of mine, she wouldn’t hesitate to bring up my ever so tiny text. Eventually, as I transitioned away from Neopets and Graphics sites, I took usability into account. I realized that small text really wasn’t doing anyone a favor (especially my vision).

For example, if you are labeling yourself as a designer in your portfolio, but use (or buy) a template, what does that make you?
