Okay, so, my brothers 12th birthday party was on Saturday. I usually invite my friend Veronica over when we have his party, usually to hang and so we can attack all his little friends, and whatever. But, she was going to buy her Halloween costume at Hot Topic before coming, and we both went before we headed back to my house for the party. After the mall, we went to Walmart, because she needed supplies for a project. Kill two birds with one stone, save the planet; I’m all for it, whatever. We headed straight for the crafts section. I think this was the second time I’ve actually gone to the craft secton out of the million and three I’ve been to Walmart.

Anywho, for about twenty minutes, I was in love with that store, because of the abundance of craft supplies otherwise unavailable at Target, unless I went to Micheal’s or like, AC Moore, but I don’t, I forget. So, a while later, I ended up at the cash register, with a 1lb bag of “scrap” paper, a crochet needle, and a small jar of rubber cement. I hand the lady my things, and unexpeictedly, she tells me that she can’t sell me the rubber cement. I was ready to die right there. Obviously, I asked her why, and she said that minors were not allowed to purchase it; as they sniff it to get high. So, I was like, wha? And she was getting rude with me because I couldn’t accept that fact that I wasn’t gonna get my rubber cement.

WTF?! First, I’m not stupid enough to want to go and get high, especially with rubber freaking cement. I have no clue what appeals to people to be on drugs and get high and what-not. Second, I really wanted my rubber cement. Like, really wanted it. So I paid, and like went off to the side where my friend was. I was ready to explode in tears. Like, seriously, I was, no lie. The only reason I wanted it so badly, is that I am a very creative and crafty person. (The other day I made the most gorgeous jar/can thing ever, without rubber cement, effin’ blue glue sticks >>) I’m always making something. And, stupid me, spilled all the rubber cement I had left from my huge jar. I will only use rubber cement if Im gluing paper, which is quite often. And I’ve been rubber cementless for like, two months now. :[ So, I really wanted it, and they wouldn’t let me buy it. rawr. </rant>

Now, I’m not saying that the young people of America should be all involved in this election, but I think that in this day and age we should have opinions. You see, I like to ask my friends either who they want to win, or whom they would vote for if they could, and things like that; normally, they just say that they don’t know or even ask why they should care. I think that us teenagers should care about who becomes the next president. After all, by the time we can vote, (or at least me) there’s going to be another election. No matter who you are, or how old you may be, a new president will affect you in one way or another.

Personally, I would rather Obama as the next President. Wouldn’t a vote for McCain be another push in the same path we’re heading along? That’s like another Bush. The Bush Administration didn’t do jack, in fact I think it’s tearing this country apart. But, hey that’s just me. It’s not just the fact that McCain would suck, but I genuinely agree with Obama’s speeches and his views. We can’t just have old white males rule this land. What about everyone else? America is filled with different races and backgrounds, why keep electing old white people? Do they know what’s really going on? Can they really help everyone? I think that Obama has a strong background, that will help this country grow.


Honestly, I have no clue who this lady from Alaska is. But, whatever. I think it’s going to come really close though. There are a lot of racist people out there, who would rather have someone white, than someone who would help.

I was actually excited for school to start. You know, first day at a brand spanking new High School. But obviously Tropical Storms, like Fay don’t like me very much… I love school. I seriously couldn’t wait for it to start. D; *bummed*

Anywho, expect a new layout, and new content soon. I just finished making some brushes, so stay tuned.

PS. Could someone help me with this? I want to burn a small .avi file on my mac to a DVD, so that it is actually playable in the DVD player… Would I need to convert it, and then burn it? If so, which programs would I need?
