Google Adsense.

Like most, I use Google adsense, like I have for a while now. But, over time I see that people are breaking a lot of rules according to their Program Policies. Usually I don’t even read the TOS etc, but way back when I registered for my account, I knew it would actually be a good idea to read these policies. Turns out it was interesting and told me what I could and couldn’t do. These were simple things, like not clicking your own ads, not asking people to click, etc. And the consequences for these, were things like the disabling of your account, or funds not being sent. Really, its annoying to see people practically begging for clicks and whatnot. Yes, it is a good way to make money, bu you can’t exactly cheat you way into it. Upon reading these program policies (again), I found a few interesting things, like-

Clicks on Google ads must result from genuine user interest. Any method that artificially generates clicks or impressions on your Google ads is strictly prohibited. These prohibited methods include but are not limited to repeated manual clicks or impressions, using robots, automated click and impression generating tools, third-party services that generate clicks or impressions such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, autosurf, and click-exchange programs, or any deceptive software. Please note that clicking on your own ads for any reason is prohibited. Failure to comply with this policy may lead to your account being disabled.
May not encourage users to click the Google ads by using phrases such as “click the ads,” “support us,” “visit these links,” or other similar language
May not place misleading labels above Google ad units - for instance, ads may be labeled “Sponsored Links” but not “Favorite Sites”
Sites displaying Google ads may not include:
    * Excessive profanity

    * Content regarding programs which compensate users for clicking on ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites, or reading emails
    * Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or code of web pages
    * Deceptive or manipulative content or construction to improve your site’s search engine ranking, e.g., your site’s PageRank

    * Sales or promotion of products that are replicas or imitations of designer goods
    * Sales or distribution of term papers or student essays
    * Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity, or infringes on the legal rights of others
Website publishers may not display Google ads on web pages with content protected by copyright law unless they have the necessary legal rights to display that content.
Up to three ad units may be displayed on each page.
No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant.

And that’s about it. I just felt that I needed to share that with the world… A lot of people seem to think this is a fast way to make some cash. And I can tell you that it’s not fast, or easy. There are a lot of things to do, and watch out for. And this money doesn’t come all that fast. You have to wait until there is $100 worth of earnings until they actually pay you. And then, you have to wait a month or so for it to get to you. Anyways, just keep this in mind!

And this is why I use Firefox. (3 to be exact)

Okay, I am a Firefox 3 user, and darn proud of it. After using my Dad’s laptop for about an hour, I am ready to viciously rip it apart. Why you ask? Because I am using Internet Explorer. I am missing my firefox already. IE has made browsing a nightmare. Of course to the average internet user, browsers aren’t an issue. Except, that I’m not average, and you guys aren’t either. You know, I’d wouldn’t even waste my breath on this if it hadn’t gotten so under my skin. Why you ask? Here’s why-

No spell check. I find myself constantly looking back for misspellings. How rude. Even still, I’m sure I’m spelling things wrong. Sorry about that. Not my fault.
NO ROUNDED CORNERS! On Gmail, Google Reader, and even Wordpress, all I can do is wonder where the rounded corners have gone…
I can’t even log on to Twitter, nonetheless actually visit the homepage. It keeps asking me to download the login file. Oddness.
I’m getting these random errors. Rawr.
New tabs open right next to the one I am on. I hate that. I usually have anywhere from 10-30 tabs open at a time. I like going through them and finding links I clicked all the way at the end.
I really miss my awesome bar. It’s so awesome. Not to mention the one-click bookmarking.
It crashes often. Again, not my browser of prefrence.
On my site, the UL and or LI tags move to the right unneccesarily.
In older versions of IE, the content section moves under the sidebar. I can’t stand that.
A few pixels off the top pf my H2 get chopped off.

I am seriously considering installing portable apps on my USB… And thats the end of my little rant. I feel better. :] Anywho, I updated my portfolio, (finally) yay! Go have a look see. I also added some stuff to the resources section. Check that out too. My deviantart has gotten some new stuff too…
